The Kings Family Restaurants “All Star” Honor can be awarded to any Kings team member, whether this person has worked at Kings one week or worked at Kings for 40 years.

Our Kings “All Star” for April 2016 is Darlene from our New Kensington location!

Kings April 2016 All Star

One thing has stayed consistent through the years at Kings New Kensington. Once you enter the building, you will be greeted by Darlene’s enthusiastic welcome to Kings and warm smile.

You can find Darlene in the front section of the restaurant, where she sets up shop. Yes, she has her regular guests; she has built quite a clientele over the years. If this happens to be your first time in Darlene’s section, it won’t be long until she puts a smile on your face and knows your name.

She is one of those special servers that leave an impression on you after you eat and leave the building. We challenge anyone to sit in Darlene’s section and not leave with a smile on your face! She has all the traits that not only make a great server but also make a very special person. Energetic, personable, attentive, friendly, genuine and always positive — we can go on forever.

For years, Darlene has been taking care of her guests with great service and taking care of her coworkers with her baked goodies. Anyone that has met or worked with her agrees that she is well deserving of our Kings “All Star” honor.

Thank you Darlene, our Kings “All Star” of the month!

When patrons know the cook by name because he painstakingly prepares their plates perfectly every visit, you know they are doing exceptional work. Our Kings “All Star” for March 2016 is Felipe, Grill Cook and KCT at the Kings Upper St. Clair location!

Kings March 2016 All Star Felipe

Felipe has been doing exceptional work since September 2005 when he was hired at Kings. With a “can do” attitude, strong work ethic and a great personality, Felipe is a joy to work with for managers and hourly employees alike.

Not only does he take great pride in the food that he prepares, he is also very meticulous in his housekeeping. It has been said by our Food and Beverage Director Tony, several district managers and visiting managers from other locations that Upper St. Clair maintains one of the cleanest grill lines in the company. This is in no small part due to the efforts of our Grill Cooks lead by Felipe. Fryers that are always spotless, a broiler that looks brand new and grills with no carbon buildup are shining examples of the work he does.

In addition to his work at #4, Felipe has helped Canonsburg to train cooks and fill in when needed. Not to leave anyone in the South Hills out, he has also spent time helping out at Bridgeville.

Felipe is married and has two children. Join us in saying “muchas gracias” to Felipe, one of the awesome “All Stars” at Kings!

Congratulations!

Our Kings “All Star” for February 2016 is Morgan from our Monaca location! Morgan started her career with Kings in July 2012 at 16 years old, initially hired as a hostess for Kings Monaca.

Kings February 2016 All Star Morgan

Morgan’s outgoing personality, enthusiasm and perfect smile won over every guest she came in contact with. She excelled at work and also in school, bringing with her a modesty and kindness that created a cordial atmosphere with guests and co-workers.

Soon, Morgan transitioned to server. Her charisma and youthful exuberance wowed every table — her attention to detail and willingness to help made her an invaluable asset to Kings. She is truly “Life Eat It Up” personified!

For example, while shooting our new commercials last year, Morgan did not go unnoticed by our film crew. She was quickly chosen to be featured in the upcoming Kings commercial. Morgan has a bright future ahead of her, indicative of her being a true star!

Thank you Morgan! We are very happy that you are a part of our Kings Family.

Congratulations!

Kings January 2016 All Star

Our Kings “All Star” for January 2016 is Becky from our New Castle location! Becky has been a Kings Family team member since October 2000. She is FOH KCT and responsible for training many new food servers.

She has been in the food business her entire life and has trained generations of food servers — she has helped a countless number of people throughout her life and she continues to be that mentor today! At Kings New Castle, she has taken on the “Mom” role for the team. Whether through preparing many different “Holiday Feasts” for her fellow employees or making homemade birthday cakes for them to celebrate, Becky truly lives by the words “Life, Eat It Up!”

Many guests return to see her at New Castle to enjoy not only her infectious smile but also her upbeat personality. Local residents stop by just to visit her and grab a quick bite, which really shows the impact that she has made on the people around her.

And, as if that’s not enough, Becky also helps out at her parents’ bowling alley and is an avid bowler herself!

Thank you, Becky, for all that you do for our community and more. Kings Family Restaurants is made even more special because of everything that you do.

Congratulations!
